Join state and local government leaders for a conference which identifies traits public sector leaders will need to handle the challenges facing their organizations during these drastic economic times. Faced with a potential of a decade of deficits, today’s leaders will have to implement different strategies to transform the way their organizations operate.
Targeting graduates of the Pacific Program, the conference will provide an opportunity for alumni to refresh their catalytic leadership skills and answer the following question: How do we provide effective leadership to address interconnected public problems with…
1. A reduction of fiscal resources?
2. A lack of consensus on options?
3. The involvement of many diverse, independent-minded stake holders?
Using keynote addresses & plenary session formats that will be facilitated by experts using relevant examples from state and local government, the two day event will include strategies on:
• Understanding the challenges facing public sector leadership today
• Getting a group unstuck & moving forward
• Generating fresh ideas and new insights
• Framing issues and their strategic responses
• Identifying and defining end outcomes
• Thinking systematically to reveal interconnections & strategic leverage points
• Leading from personal passion & strength of character
• Developing the leaders of the future
• Maintaining momentum: where do we go from here?
Registration will be available on August 1, 2010!
We look forward to seeing you in October- watch for more details about the exciting plenary sessions and keynote speakers!
